About Me

With my background in cognitive neuroscience, I have focused on integrating our understanding of biology and psychology as I address questions about how cognitive control supports goal-driven behavior. My previous collaborative work has included translating findings from rodent studies to humans through the use of pharmaco-fMRI, using behavioral and functional MRI designs to investigate mechanisms of effortful control over automatic responses, and applying canonical experimental paradigms to special populations (e.g., older adults, individuals with depression, women undergoing chemotherapy). At IBIC, I continue to apply basic techniques from cognitive science to clinical populations through multi-disciplinary collaborations with several investigators.
