About Me

After graduating from Quinnipiac University, I moved to Seattle to join Dr. Jeansok Kim's lab in the UW Psychology department. My research focused on the intersection of fear and decision-making, utilizing a rodent model to elucidate whether risk-taking behavior would change with perceived danger of the environment, whether age has any effect on risk-taking in these situations, and what role brain regions like the amygdala and periaqueductal grey play. I completed my Masters in 2014 and soon after joined IBIC as a research technologist for Dr. Natalia Kleinhans. My primary focus here is on the preprocessing and analysis of fMRI data for a study examining the effects of mild traumatic brain injury in troops previously deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom.
